India's Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate (FMGL) Regulations, 2021 decide whether your foreign degree is valid back home. Get these right before you enrol — the responsibility lies on the student.
To practise in India after a foreign MBBS, you currently clear the FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) — a computer-based screening test conducted by NBEMS. Historically its pass rate has been modest (around 20–30%), which is exactly why college choice and academic support matter so much.
